Unless otherwise noted, City Hall is open Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On alternate Fridays, City Hall is open for limited services only.
Limited Services – Alternate Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
City Hall is open for limited services only on alternate Fridays as part of a comprehensive traffic and air pollution reduction program that also includes ridesharing, public transit and carbonless commuting. On alternate Fridays, the following payment and permit services are available at City Hall at the first floor public counters.
- Plan check (Building & Safety and Engineering counter staff)
- Building & Safety inspection services
- Permits (public works, building and filming permits, and preferential parking permits)
- Business licensing (license and permit fee and parking ticket payments)
In addition, the Water Resources office at 1212 Fifth Street, Third Floor, is open to assist water and sewer customers with billing and service needs; and Solid Waste Management is open to assist customers with their questions, concerns and service requests, at 458-2223. Customers with specific construction and demolition questions can obtain assistance at 458-8739. Refuse and recycling enclosure questions should be directed to 458-8719.
All other offices are closed but can be reached via the GO system
